The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn Book Club

Join us in reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain , and then discussing the book and watching the 1993 movie adaptation (PG). The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn follows young Huck as he fakes his own death to escape his abusive father and embarks on a journey down the Mississippi River. He is joined by Jim, an enslaved man seeking his freedom, and together they navigate a series of dangerous, absurd, and morally complex encounters with various river-town characters and con artists. Through their deep bond, Huck is ultimately forced to confront and reject the prejudiced societal norms he was raised with in order to protect his friend. Parents please be sure to research the book and movie to make sure you’re comfortable with the content, especially be aware the word n**** is used throughout the book.

Christmas in July

Join us for Christmas in July! Put on your Christmas clothes and ice skate with us from 1:00-3:00 PM and then head to the Vrugginks’ home to enjoy Christmas cookies and watch the movie A Muppet Christmas Carol from 3:30-5:00 PM. The cost is 250 THB/skater, and you must pay via scan. They do not accept cards or cash.

Xventure

Emma Book Club

Emma follows the wealthy and clever Emma Woodhouse, who delights in playing matchmaker for her friends and neighbors in the village of Highbury. Her well-intentioned but misguided meddling leads to a series of romantic misunderstandings, forcing her to confront her own flaws and the consequences of her interference. Ultimately, her disastrous matchmaking journey leads her to a deeper understanding of herself and the realization that she has been in love with her longtime friend, Mr. Knightley, all along. *Parents please be sure to research the book and movie to make sure you’re comfortable with the content.

New Family Orientation

We are absolutely thrilled to officially welcome our new families to CMHC! To help you feel right at home, we invite the participating parent from each new family to join us for a special orientation. We’ll walk you through everything you need to know about how our wonderful community works. To make the morning as stress-free as possible, some of our veteran families will be there to happily hang out with your kids while we chat.

Fall Welcome Back Family Picnic

We are so excited to kick off fall semester! All participating families are invited to pack a lunch and join us for a picnic the Monday before co-op begins. (Dads, we always love seeing you there, too!) For our returning families, this is a wonderful time to reconnect after the break, and we’d truly love your help in rolling out the welcome mat for our newest members. Your friendly faces make all the difference in helping them feel at home! We’ll gather at 11:30 AM at our usual co-op location.

Fall 2026 Semester Begins

Monday, September 7
8:30 AM - Noon

The first day of our fall semester is Monday, September 7, and we simply cannot wait to fill our Monday mornings with friends, laughter, and learning once again! To help the morning run smoothly, we ask all participating families to arrive bright and early at 8:30 AM. This will give us plenty of time to tackle our morning setup together and let the kids get comfortable with their new classrooms. Our co-op day will wrap up at noon, but the fun doesn't have to stop there - we would love for you to stick around for an optional picnic lunch from noon to 1:00 PM.
