Choice A: Christian Apologetics (Carter)
In this class we will seek to answer the big objections to the Christian faith. For example, if God is good and powerfully why is there so much suffering? Has science disproved Christianity? Aren't there many paths to God? But apologetics isn't only defensive and so we will explore why Christianity offers compelling answers for being the truth about the universe. We will also critically examine rival worldviews to the Christian faith to see if they stand up to scrutiny. The aim of this course is to strengthen the faith of students by helping them ask why Christians believe what they do as well as preparing them to answer objections. Non-believers will be treated respectfully and given space to disagree, ask questions, and examine their own beliefs.
